Owens, Jack (birth name was Jack Milton Owens) Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma 10/17/1912; died 1/26/1982 in Arizona. Owens began his career as a singer at radio station KFH-Wichita, then Los Angeles and Chicago stations. Vocalist with Hal Kemp and Ted Weems bands. He was the composer of tunes including The Hutsut Song and Hi Neighbor.

Owens was the Cruising Crooner vocalist on The Breakfast Club for NBC-BLUE and ABC-Radio (1934- 1936, again from 1940 to 1949). Other programs Owens appeared on were Tin Pan Alley Of The Air for NBC (1945); Stairway To The Stars for NBC (1946-1947). He was host of his own ABC-Radio program (1952-1954). Host of The Jack Owens Show on KECA-TV Los Angeles.
