Spoiler : Elliott, Jack (Irwin Elliott Zucker) Born in Hartford, Connecticutt 8/6/1927; died 8/18/2001 from a brain tumor at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. The tumor had been diagnosed three weeks prior to his death. Graduated from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. Following college, Elliott moved to New York working as a jazz pianist at the Stork Club, later lived in Paris during the 1950s where he worked as an orchestrator and developed friendships with other American expatriate musicians including Quincy Jones. After his return to America, he became a dance arranger and orchestrator for Broadway musicals including Fiorello and Tenderloin. Moved to California in the early 1960s to work arranging music for television. Musical director for big event telecasts including several Academy Award shows, Emmy Award shows and the Kenndy Center Honors. Musical arranger for television programs including The Andy Williams Show on NBC, ABC and CBS (1957-1971); The Judy Garland Show on CBS (1964); Police Story on NBC (1973-1977); Starsky and Hutch on ABC (1975-1979); Barney Miller on ABC (1975-1982); Charlie's Angels on ABC (1976-1981); The Love Boat on ABC (1977-1986).
