Spoiler : Does anyone know why Fred Allen mentioned Jack Eigen frequently on his show?

Spoiler : Born in Brooklyn, New York 5/23/1913; died 1/23/1983 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eigen began his career as a newspaper columnist and press agent. In 1937 he began his broadcasting career with a Broadway and Hollywood gossip show sponsored by Edelbrew Beer on WHN-New York, which was also carried by Mutual. Later he became a pioneer of talk radio when he began a late night radio program on WMCA-New York. Following service during WWII, he returned to broadcasting with Meet Me at the Copa on WINS-New York (1944-?).
