Born in New York City 12/12/1902; died 8/17/1995 of pneumonia in a Kingston, New York hospital. New York attorney that became a playwriter sometime in the 1920's. Academy Award for writing Casablanca in 1942. Writer for radio pro- grams including Orson Welle's Mercury Theatre Of The Air (adapted H.G. Well's War Of The Worlds for Welles') for CBS (1938); The Campbell Playhouse on CBS (1938-1940). Blacklisted in 1951, moved to England (1951-1956).
