Born in Hertfordshire, England 10/2/1904; died 4/2/1991 of leukemia in Vevey, Switzerland. Married to Vivien Dayell-Browning (?-?). Greene graduated from Oxford and began his career as a reporter for the London Times, then he was a film critic for The Spector (1935-39). Greene created the Harry Lime character in his novel, "The Third Man."
