Evans, Gene (birth name was Eugene Barton Evans) Born in Holbrook, Arizona 7/11/1924; died 4/1/1998 of natural causes in Jackson, Tenneessee. Evans was raised in Colton, California and began his acting career while serving in the Army during WWII touring with a a G.I. theatrical company. Character actor in at least thirty movies including his debut in Under Colorado Skies (1947). Last movie was Split (1989).

Television character actor from 1950 to the middle 1980s. Rob McLaughlin on My Friend Flicka for CBS-TV (1956-1957). Sergeant Hanrahan on Matt Helm for ABC-TV (1975-1976). Spencer Parish on Spencer's Pilots for CBS-TV (1976). Evans retired to a Jackson, Tennessee farm in the late 1980's until his death.
