Born in St. Marys, West Virginia 4/12/1904. Bandleader that quit Indiana University to play with a theater band in Chicago. In the late 1920's, he formed his own dance band using a cascading choral gimmick he called, "Bell Tone Music." Masters recorded on record labels including Columbia; Mercury; Okeh; RCA Victor; Cocalion.

Masters and his band were featured on many band remotes beginning in the early 1930s, and he and his band were featured on their own programs, of Masters' Music Room (1934-1935), and a fifteen-minute NBC program (1940-1941).

Masters and his band provided music for radio programs including It Can Be Done on NBC-BLUE and CBS (1937-1939); Fitch Band Wagon on NBC (1938-1945); Show Of The Week on Mutual (1943-1944). For the 1950s and 1960s, he appeared on local television stations in Chicago, and performed at private parties.
