She had far more success on stage than screen, but I enjoyed her in "The Greene Murder Case", a weird little Philo Vance with William Powell and a seriously creepy Jean Arthur. Then, later in the forties, she's so compelling in "An Act of Murder", a fascinating study of mercy killing with husband, Fredric March.

Eldridge, Florence (birth name was Florence McKechnie) Born in Brooklyn, New York 9/5/1901; died 8/1/1988 of a heart attack in Santa Barbara, California. Married to actor Fredric March (1927-1975 his death). On Broadway as a chorus girl in Rock-A-Bye-Baby (1918). Screen debut with Six Cylinder Love (1923). Guest star on Lux Radio Theater for CBS-Radio twice in 1937; Producers' Showcase for NBC-TV (1956).
