Writer-producer of many television programs including the first prestige drama on television, "Actor's Studio" for ABC (1948-1949); CBS (1949-1950). 1948 Peabody Award for a telecast of Caesar and Cleopatra. Executive producer for Out There on CBS-TV (1951-1952); Mirror Theater for CBS-TV (1953).
