Born in Titusville, Pennsylvania 6/1/1917; died 1/21/1952 of a heart attack while on tour with the Metropolitan Opera Company in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dame studied music at Juilliard, and made his Met debut in 1943. Tenor vocalist on radio programs including Music For An Hour for Mutual (1943-1944); The American Album Of Familiar Music for ABC (1946-1949).
