Barry, Donald (birth name was Donald Barry de Acosta) Born in Houston, Texas 1/11/1912; died 7/17/1980 of suicide by gunshot following a scuffle with his estranged wife in Hollywood, California. Screen debut in Night Waitress (1936). Red Ryder in the Republic movie serial, The Adven tures Of Red Ryder (1940). Voted among the top-ten Western Stars from 1942 thru 1945.
