Spoiler : Kelley's last role in a Star Trek film (and last live-action role in general) was The Undiscovered Country (1991). Paramount barred his participation in Generations because his ill health prevented the film's insurers from covering him.

Married to actress Carolyn Dowling (1944- 1999 his death). Son of a Baptist minister that began his career as a singer on local radio stations in Atlanta; moved to Long Beach, California at age seventeen and joined the Long Beach Theater Group. Served with the Army Air Corp. in New Mexico during WWII; acted in a Navy training film (Time To Kill). Screen debut in Fear In The Night (1947). Mostly remembered for his role of Commander Leonard (Bones) McCoy, M.D. on Star Trek for NBC-TV (1966-1969); the animated cartoon series in 1973; Star Trek feature movie series beginning in 1979 with Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Kelley's last Star Trek movie was 1994's Star Trek: Generations. Guest star on radio shows including Suspense for CBS in The Fleshpeddler (8/4/1957).
