Born in Maplewood, New Jersey 4/15/1909. His father, David F. Driscoll was a promoter of boxing and football enents, and a former business manager for the Dodgers baseball team. Driscoll began his radio career as a baseball announcer at WCCO-Minneapolis while he was attending the University of Minnesota. He had a long association at WOR-Mutual-New York as a news, sports and special features commentator, later was the news director for WOR.
