Fairchild, Cookie (birth name was Edgar Fairchild) Born in New York City 6/1/1898; died 2/20/1975 in Los Angeles, California. Educated at The Juilliard School Of Music, studied piano under Percy Goetschius. Recording artist on the Liberty record label. A pianist, Fairchild and fellow pianist Adam Carol were a team that performed their piano duo on radio programs including The Eddie Cantor Show and The Magic Key in the middle 1930s.

he Cookie Fairchild Orchestra provided music for radio programs including The Eddie Cantor Show on CBS and NBC (1939-1949); Take It Or Leave It on CBS (1942-1944), Johnny Presents Ginny Simms on NBC (1943-1945); Talent Theater for NBC (1945). Fairchild provided music for The Jerry Colonna Show on ABC-TV (1951).
