Spoiler : Born ca 1874; died in 1935. American humorist that was a writer for the New Yorker magazine for many years. Day wrote a series of stories that appeared in Harper's Magazine and The New Yorker leading to his 1935 novel of, Life With Father. The novel was adapted to the 1939 Broadway Play; a 1947 movie starring Irene Dunne and William Powell. The novel was the basis for the CBS-TV series, "Life With Father" (1953-1955); series is credited with being the first live "color" network series that originating from Hollywood.
