Hoff, Carl (birth name was Carl Hoffmayr) Born in Oxnard, California 9/25/1905 died 10/15/1965 of a heart attack. Educated at Glendale University and The Arizona Conservatory of Music. He began his music career playing sax and arranging for Paul Ash's band. later was arranger for Paul Whiteman. He formed his band in 1934, playing at hotels, clubs and ballrooms. Recording artist on Columbia and Okeh record labels.
