Boris Karloff 11.23.1887 - 02.02.1969 (82 years old)
Talk about typecasting. After playing Frankenstein's Monster in the 1931 movie, Frankenstein, Karloff was known for his work in horror movies but that's not all. He was a prolific performer and enjoyed performing. He got his start performing in small theatricals in Canada. While living in Canada, he joined a couple of theater companies that traveled throughout Canada performing. Eventually, Karloff worked his way to Hollywood, starring in several silent films before landing Frankenstein.
Like many stars of the time, Karloff appeared on radio in sevaral anthology shows like Inner Sanctum and Theater Guild of the Air, in addition to guest appearances on series like Duffy's Tavern, Lone Ranger, and many more.
