Spoiler : It was called The Small Tykes Show. My sister and I rushed home to listen to Uncle Bing. He had a rich, deep voice just like a kind uncle. We had an hour and a half for lunch in those days...no school buses. Peter and the Wolf with Sterling Holloway was one of my favourites and my introduction to classical music. I saw Fantasia at the theatre about that time and I was hooked on classical. I'm 81 now and just listened to Peter and the Wolf again on Youtube. Now, in late 2023, I think back on those wonderful, innocent days when radio let our imaginations do imagining. I'm also amazed at how much the world has changed in my 81 years. Thank you Uncle Bing

Spoiler : Thank you for remembering 'Peter and the Wolf' -- that's where I knew it from. My mother would have the radio on and when Bing said "scoooooooot!" it was time to be heading back to school. I lived on Sheppard Avenue and it was a good walk four times a day -- so many of us have a connection to Bing Whittaker, that's nice to know.

Spoiler : I used to listen to the “Small Tykes Club” in Collingwood, Ontario, with Bing Whittaker when I was home from school for lunch. At the end of the show he used to say, “Now off to school! Scoot!

Spoiler : I have very fond memories of listening to The Small Tykes Club in the early 1950's. My older sister and I would rush home from school and have our lunch while listening to the radio. Uncle Bing would announce children's birthdays and tell them where to look for a present. What a thrill when on my birthday one year my name was called and I was told where to find a birthday present. My older sister wrote to the radio station to request this and it's a cherished childhood memory. So glad to have grown up in this wonderful era! Sandra Brown
