Spoiler : Rose began his career as a stenographer; (protege of John Robert Gregg) became world's shorthand champion at 350 words a minute. Worked for the World War I Production Board under Bernard Baruch. Following WWI he became a song writer, and wrote over 300 songs including Barney Google With The Goo Goo Googly Eyes (most of his tunes were collaborated). He opened and ran several famous night clubs. Rose became a famous Broadway play producer, including Jumbo (1935); Forth Worth Centennial, World's Fair (1939); Aquacade.
