Spoiler : Morse, Barry (birth name was Herbert Morse) Born in the East End of London, England 6/10/1919. Died 2/2/2008 at the University College Hospital in London, England. At time of his death, he maintained homes in England and Canada. Married to actress Sydney Sturgess (1939-1999 her death). At age fifteen, he won a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (1935-1939). Following graduation he began acting on stage in England. He appeared in early British television programs in the late 1930s. He tried enlisting in the Royal Navy during WWII, but was rejected when it was revealed he had tuberculosis, which was in early stages and cured. Moved to Canada in 1951 acting on stage, on CBC radio and became very popular on Canadian television where he became known as the human test patern because of his many appearances on CBC-TV. Screen debut in When We Are Married (1942). Last feature movie was playing Reverend Adam Putter in Taxman (1999).
