Born in Cleveland, Ohio 10/4/1878; died 3/22/1950 of a heart ailment in New York City. He began his career by opening New York's first nickelodeon in 1905. He produced Poor Little Rich Girl in 1912, which was his first of a long list of plays he produced for the next thirty years.
