Spoiler : Per his official records on Ancestry.com, hi real name was Amerigo Angelo MARINO. Scant few records pop up of a search for that but he started his career as a violinist in the LA Philharmonic, went into radio and TV, and in 1964 took over the conductor position for the Birmingham, Alabama Symphony Orchestra and changed it to the Alabama Sym. Orch where he was conductor for 20 years (1964-84) then moved to the Nashville Sym. Orch. where he was conductor at the time of his death. But he's best remembered to us for Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar (200+ episodes as music director) and Fort Laramie (26 eps). Also did some music for a few episodes of CBS Radio Workshop, Frontier Gentleman, Luke Slaughter, Romance and even Suspense!
