Born in Lawrence, Kansas 12/30/1911; died 5/13/1972 in New York City. McCleery joined NBC in 1949. Creator/producer of Cameo Theatre on NBC-TV (became Hall- mark Hall Of Fame) (1950-1952, again 1955). Producer/director of Fireside Arena Theatre on NBC-TV (1951), Hallmark Summer Theater on NBC-TV (1952); NBC Matinee Theatre (1955-58). Producer of the CBS Television Workshop (1960).
