(birth name was Adele Marie Austerlitz) Born in Omaha, Nebraska 9/10/1898; died 1/25/1981 of a stroke in Phoenix, Arizona. Sister of Fred Astaire, and was his dance partner for 25 years; appeared in eleven stage musicals with him until (1932). Married Lord Charles Cavendish (1932-his death; Wall Streeter Kingman Douglas (?-?). Comedienne on The Magic Key for NBC (1935-1938).
