The golden age of radio popularized what has now become a timeless classic in the history of old time radio. The Country Western theme was quickly embraced by the listening populace as it brought the thrills and danger of the American Frontier right to their doorsteps. The All Star Western Theater graced the airwaves in the mid-1940's and was made up of a variety of different shows. The shows delivered riotous laughs and down-to-earth humor that was a pleasant alternative to other heavier and intense programs. The music of these old radio shows was done by a group called "The Riders of the Purple Sage," and was fronted by Foy Willing.
