For 11 years, United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave evening radio addresses through his radio show called Fireside Chat with FDR. His first message was aired onMarch 12, 1933. The show’s airtime ranged anywhere from fifteen to forty-five minutes.

Most of FDR’s messages aimed to urge the listeners to believe in the banks and assure that the country can survive the effects of World War II. The Fireside Chat with Franklin D. Roosevelt had its last broadcast in June 12, 1944, airing a total of 30 episodes.
