Author's Playhouse was an anthology series written for radio by Wynn Wright. It featured works of some of the most popular story writers and playwrights. Some of the famous stories used in the show were Stephen Benet's Elementals (used in the first episode), Paul Gallico's The Snow Goose, and Elizabeth Dunn's Woman's Work. Author's Playhouse was aired on NBC Blue from March 1941 to October 1945. It became an inspiration for other drama series and anthologies aired on NBC.
