This long running series, FBI in Peace and War, starred Martin Blaine as the infallible Field Agent Sheppard. The crime-busting series was not blessed with the actual bureau's approval like This Is Your FBI, but the unauthorized stories remained extremely popular.
The FBI in Peace in War featured a full orchestra theme song and was a first-name sponsorship and commercials. The story was often told from the viewpoint of the perpetrating criminals who were pursued by the FBI. The sound of their clattering teletype machines usually notified the listener that justice was near!
