Call the Police was a replacement series for the comedy series Amos and Andy. Heard during the summer season of the years 1947-1949, the series was inspired by “the courageous work of police departments all over America.” At the end of each episode, an “Award of Valor” was given to a real-life police official  who showed bravery.
