Shell Chateau, otherwise known as The Shell Show, was a radio variety show aired on April 6, 1935. It was literally a "variety" show, as the performers featured really varied, ranging from singer-musicians, radio and opera actors and actress, to circus clowns, comedic performers, and more.

Jolson introduces him as, "Harry Fonda." Jack Stanton and Peggy Gardner sing, "All For You." Fanny Brice appears in a monologue called, "Mama Cohen At The Beach." She uses a thick Yiddish accent in the skit, then sings, "My Man." Jolson sings, "Yes, We Have No Bananas" as an operatic aria. + NBC net. Sponsored by: Shell. The Sailor Boy's Octet sings a nautical medley. An MGM cameraman tells what it's like to photograph Greta Garbo (and gets mike fright!). Lorraine Bridges sings, "Through The Years." Nick Dan plays a hot saxophone. Helen Broderick and Lester Crawford (her husband in real life), do a comedy routine about trying to get taxi in New York. Jack Stanton and Peggy Gardner sing a duet. Harriet Hilliard, in Hollywood for only three weeks, sings. The orchestra plays a delightful Cole Porter medley. Chester Morris joins host Wallace Beery in "Two Men Met At The Vail," by Howard Emmet Rogers. It's a strong drama about two enemy soldiers dying together in a foxhole. The program features "twelve year old" Judy Garland, tennis pro Bill Tilden, Patsy Kelly is "interviewed," Sigmund Spaeth as "The Tune Detective," Fay Helm (?) and Wallace Beery appear in a one act execution melodrama titled, "The Valiant." The program closing appears to have been edited. Allan Jones, Beery and Jackie Cooper do a very well-done scene from, "The Champ." This was Wallace Beery's last show on the series, as Al Jolson is announced as returning the next week.
