Old Time Radio Downloads > Comedy > Camel Comedy Caravan
Sponsored by Camel cigarettes, Camel Comedy was musical variety show that began airing on NBC but was later transferred to CBS radio. By December 7, 1933 the show staged its debut as a showcase for the Casa Loma Orchestra and Glen Gray. The show aired until 1954. An ample of old time radio music shows emerged together with Camel Caravan but none had stayed longer than it. For 21 years, the show featured famous musicians, vocalists, comedy acts, and stars. Benny Goodman, Anita O'Day, Vaughn Monroe, Jack Clark and Jimmy Durante were a few good examples.
