Buck Rogers, also known by the title Buck Rogers in the 25th Century was the first science fiction series that aired on radio. Its first broadcast was on November 7, 1932, on CBS network, where it was featured four times a week. The show followed the story of Buck, who suddenly found himself, transported through time, in the 25th century. After learning about how things work in the future, he sets off to fight the evil forces, with the help of his space buddies, and new-found friend Lieutenant Wilma Deering. The show was on air for 15 years, with the last episode heard on 1947.

ABOUT OLD TIME RADIO
The buzz-term for Old Time Radio is "OTR". OTR usually means radio broadcasting from the golden age of radio, mostly before 1964.These shows from the pre-television age include adventure, comedies, mystery shows, western dramas and shows from World War II. These programs feature the best talent of the day and were broadcast nearly as widely as cable programs today. And just like TV today, families would gather around their crystal radio sets to enjoy the entertainment together.
